Cultivate the habit of reading in children is very important. According to Prof. dr. Soetjiningsih SpA (K), a pediatrician with child development experts, an important period in the development of the child is past toddler. He stressed that the toddler -masa children under the age of five years-is the cornerstone of the development of children in the next age.
By introducing the book as early as possible, it will foster curiosity going and give the image the child, that reading is fun.
Since when we can introduce books to children? Since the child can sit in laps or since the age of 3 months also, children are able to touch and look at an object, even though the focus of the short time.
Today many available books specifically for children from the age of 3 months as cloth books (softbook), bath books (books of plastic material or the like which can be taken a bath) and others that very interesting to read with parents.
Reading books to babies also foster closeness of parents and children. Not to be mommy who read it. The way a father reading the book may lead to a different imagination. And it's good for your baby.
Why should cloth books? Because the fabric is very safe for infants. Not easily torn or shredded so that is not consumed by babies who like to insert any objects into his mouth. Cloth books usualy also washable so kept clean.
So, from now on, introduce your baby to the book. Definitely would be a fun activity !!
